S*uce XVA
Following the sucess of the Village Mall, S*uce invited me to design a gift store in Dubai’s creekside heritage area, Baskitiya. The area is known for art gelleries and wind towers.
It was a low budget store, designed and completed within a 2 month period. The concept of the store came from a cake shop, using a glass counter for the cashiers area.
Instead of using 7 colours from S*uce’s rainbow palette, the decision was made to go for vivid fluorescent colours to set off the condensed space and signature S*uce feature elements were adapted to live in the new design.
Project title: S*uce @ XVA
Client: S*uce
Size: 15sqm
Completion: February 2008
*Store is now closed.
